马尾松，又名山松，松科松属，在岭南地区广泛分布，资源充沛。近年来，随着松柏类盆景的盛行，马尾松盆景已成为岭南盆景的热门树种之一。裁剪，是岭南盆景造型手法中重要的手段之一，对松树裁剪不当不但影响到松树的整体布局，而且对松树的生理机能亦产生重大影响。本人喜松，现将学到知识及实践中出现的一些问题列举出来，以供同行互相探讨。 　　一、封口问题 　　在书刊和网页上，有人提议用白乳胶封切口，但经本人试验其效果近乎为零。持此观点的人是将用白乳胶封杂木切口的方法套用到松树上。殊不知松树不同杂木，胶状的松脂会一连几天源源不断流出，原先涂在切口上的白乳胶会随松脂的外溢而流得一干二净，所以用白乳胶封松树切口丝毫不起作用。 　　用红霉素药膏封口，实际上行不通。红霉素药膏是一种软膏，当胶状的松脂从切口处流出时，软绵绵的药膏根本无力阻止松脂的外溢，说能预防伤口的感染，其实大部分的膏药都随着松脂外溢而流失，附在伤口上的是极少数，所起的作用不大。 　　用泥土封口。经本人试验，效果倒是不错。本人在山上裁切山松的枝条时，用山上素土在伤口处涂抹几下，第二天观察，伤口处不再流松脂。原来胶状的松脂和固态泥土互相粘连而凝固在一起，有效地阻止了松脂的外流。
